About the Owner
Owner, Maria Glassford, is a wife and stay at home mother of 5. While her family is the main focus in her life, she has always been one to keep busy, which is how Blue Paisleys came along. Besides her family and her website, Maria enjoys shopping, sports, scrapbooking, running, photography, gardening and reading in her spare time. The Blue Paisleys Story
Blue Paisleys came about in the fall of 2007 after Maria gave birth to their 5th child. She had previously worked part time in a small boutique and absolutely loved what she did. After realizing that baby #5 was going to be quite the challange (note: see pictures above :)) she thought it was best if she left her job to focus more on her family. Honestly, although her husband is great, she didn't want to leave him with all 5 to fend for himself, especially with such a difficult baby. So, after much thought and brainstorming, she decided to venture off and start her own boutique. Therefore, both her and her family's best interests are fulfilled, as she can still do what she loves, and at the same time, focus on the most important people in her life, her family. In case anyone is wondering, said baby mentioned above is now 8 months old and thankfully becoming a much better behaved little boy..occassionally sleeping for more than 2 hours at time now!
